Brief Description
Join our growing catering company as a Business Administration & Marketing Apprentice. You’ll gain hands-on experience across marketing, social media, events, customer service and business administration, working closely with our team and helping shape the future of the business.

Training to be Provided
Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard (can include Level 2 elements if required)
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop a long-term career within our growing business. Subject to performance and business needs, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent full time position after successfully completing the apprenticeship.
As the company continues to grow, there will also be opportunities to take on more responsibility in areas such as marketing, social media,
business administration, customer relations and event coordination. We want to support the right person in developing their skills and progressing within the business.
Vacancy Detail
As a Business Administration & Marketing Apprentice, you will become an important part of our growing catering business and gain practical experience across a wide range of areas. This is a varied role where no two weeks will necessarily be the same. You will work closely with the directors and wider team, supporting the day-to-day running of the business while developing your administration, marketing and communication skills.
Your role could include:
• Supporting our social media activity across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, including creating content, writing captions, planning posts and helping develop new ideas.
• Creating and updating marketing materials, including promotional graphics, menus, brochures, presentations and other business documents.
• Helping with photography and video content from weddings, corporate events, festivals, popups and other catering events.
• Updating and maintaining customer, supplier and business records, spreadsheets and databases.
• Assisting with enquiries and customer communication, helping to provide a professional and friendly service from the initial enquiry through to the event.
• Supporting the organisation and administration of events, including preparing documents, checking information and helping the team stay organised.
• Carrying out general office and business administration tasks, including fi ling, data entry, document preparation and organising digital records.
• Helping with marketing campaigns and researching new opportunities, local events, venues and potential customers.
• Monitoring social media engagement and helping us understand what content works best and how we can continue to grow our online presence.
• Supporting the directors with a variety of projects as the business continues to develop and expand.
You will have the opportunity to see how a real hospitality business operates behind the scenes, from marketing and customer enquiries through to event preparation and delivery. You will also work alongside an experienced team and gain an understanding of the different areas involved in running a growing business.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, willing to learn and comfortable bringing their own ideas to the table. Creativity and an interest in social media and marketing would be an advantage, but full training and support will be provided.
As the business grows, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility, develop your skills and become an important part of the team.
Other Information
This is a varied and hands-on apprenticeship, so the working environment can change depending on the business and events we are working on.
• Most of the role will be office/business based, working on a Mac and supporting the team with administration, marketing and customer communication.
• You may have the opportunity to attend and support weddings, corporate events, festivals and other exciting catering events.
• Some events may take place in the evenings, at weekends or outdoors, depending on the event schedule.
• You may be on your feet for periods of time when supporting events and helping the wider team.
• A driving licence is not essential, although it would be helpful due to the nature of our catering and events business.
• Working hours are fl exible and will vary depending on business demand and scheduled events.
• Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and keen to get involved in different areas of the business.
