Brief Description

Are you passionate about woodworking, craftsmanship, and sustainable manufacturing practices? Qualifications Required

A minimum of Maths and English at grade 2, or a relevant grade 1 functional skills qualification.

Skills Required

• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery commonly used in woodworking and joinery.
• Basic maths skills and able to measure accurately using various measuring tools such as rulers, callipers, and squares.
• Some experience in handling and preparing different types of materials, including cutting and shaping.
• Awareness of safety protocols, proper tool usage, and the correct ways to handle materials to prevent accidents.
• Good hand-eye coordination

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.  The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
