Brief Description
Are you passionate about woodworking, craftsmanship, and sustainable manufacturing practices? In this role, you will become an integral part of our innovative team that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques to create high-quality wood products for both domestic and trade markets.
Qualifications Required
A minimum of Maths and English at grade 2, or a relevant grade 1 functional skills qualification.

• Strong interest in machining and manufacturing with different materials and a passion for craftsmanship.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good communicator
• Attention to detail.
• Problem solving: addressing design challenges, troubleshooting machinery, and responding to unexpected situations.
• Adaptable and open to learning new techniques and methods.
Skills Required
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery commonly used in woodworking and joinery.
• Basic maths skills and able to measure accurately using various measuring tools such as rulers, callipers, and squares.
• Some experience in handling and preparing different types of materials, including cutting and shaping.
• Awareness of safety protocols, proper tool usage, and the correct ways to handle materials to prevent accidents.
• Good hand-eye coordination
Training to be Provided
Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
