Brief Description
Join a leading Midlands waste & Recycling company as a metal fabricator apprentice, gaining hands on experience in welding, fabrication and maintenance. You’ll work alongside skilled engineers, develop practical skills, and build a solid foundation for a long-term career in engineering.
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above.

Training to be Provided
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
Full time position upon completion of apprenticeship and progression working alongside our engineering and maintenance team.
Vacancy Detail
As a Metal Fabricator Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in a busy recycling and engineering environment, supporting the maintenance and production teams.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Manufacturing and fabricating equipment, hard facing shredder wear components, and carrying out repairs to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• You will also be involved in repairing and replacing worn components, as well as completing skip repairs.
• Working alongside experienced engineers, you will develop key fabrication, welding, and maintenance skills while working towards your apprenticeship qualification.

• Role involves manual handling and lifting heavy objects
• Physically demanding role requiring stamina and fitness
• PPE must be worn at all times
• Shifts work of evenings and weekends may be required
