Brief Description
This apprenticeship will provide an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to commence their career in finance and become part of our future. Working as part of a small team will give the candidate exposure to all aspects of finance and the wider business.
Qualifications Required
GCSE grade 4/C and above in English and maths or equivalent.
Personal Qualities
Highly numerate, accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrably and proficient ability with IT, particularly MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to analyse and challenge areas for improvement.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Good organisational skills.
Practical, logical thinker to achieve objectives against set deadlines.
Able to manage time and workload effectively.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Prioritise and co-ordinate workloads.

Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
There is an opportunity of progression to a Level 4 Apprenticeship (AAT Approved). There is also an opportunity of a full-time post upon completing the apprenticeship, and further opportunities to progress within the company and wider group.
Vacancy Detail
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the primary responsibility of the Finance Apprentice will be to assist in the provision of our finance requirements to customers and suppliers. The role will provide assistance to the Finance team.
Daily bank postings and allocations, and weekly bank reconciliations.
Manage the sales ledger including credit notes, customer queries and some credit control.
Produce overdue cash reports.
Manage the purchase ledger, including data entry of purchase invoices, statement reconciliation, supplier queries and payment runs.
Manage the Business Expense and Company Credit Card process.
Co-ordinate and help to manage the Accounting process and its integration with other company processes and procedures.
Manage accounts email inbox.
Create and maintain spreadsheets.
Create new documents and innovate ways of working.
Scanning and filing invoices.
Involvement with company stock takes.
Provide administrative assistance.
Deal with telephone calls.
