Brief Description

Reporting to maintenance manager, Ops Manager and CGM of the hotel. Working closely with maintenance manager, ideal candidate will be looking to develop & learn new skills. Your duties will be spread across multiple areas within the hotel: effectively doing room maintenance, daily safety checks, PPM, hotel maintenance.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment).

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.  The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

Job Description
• Completing small repairs around the hotel
• Checking and maintaining safety equipment
• Carrying out preventive maintenance to rooms
• Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by customers or colleagues.
• Completing Daily, Weekly and Monthly checks to plant and equipment at the hotel
• Updating and maintaining compliance centre for all certifications, licences, and routine checks
skills and qualifications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• A level of fitness
• Knowledge of hand tools - you’ll also have a working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures, with recognised qualifications where appropriate
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office and other operating systems typically used within this role
• Ability to work independently with a cooperative spirit when working with peers
