Brief Description

To assist the transport department with the smooth running of the fleet. Communicating efficiently with customers and drivers. Whilst this role is predominantly in the transport department, there will also be a requirement to assist the senior management team with general admin tasks.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
Level 2 Administration or Suitable Experience

Skills Required

• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Good at inputting data entry

Training to be Provided

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard (can include Level 2 elements if required)
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.  The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

• Assisting with the daily planning of our fleet, ensuring routes are cost effective.
• Ensuring all customers are serviced within two weeks either side of their due dates.
• To assist with the planning and scheduling of vehicle maintenance.
• To assist with carrying out customer satisfaction calls.
• To assist with the processing of driver paperwork.
• To take meeting minutes as required.
• To deal with incoming enquiries via telephone and email.
• To scan and file vehicle records accurately.
• To process driver’s timesheets in accordance with working hours regulations.
• To assist the senior management team with any other admin duties as required.

Other Information

Please note you will be working from our Burton upon Trent offices so must have reasonable means to get to and from work. We have office dogs who are regularly in the office.
