Brief Description
An Exciting opportunity has become available to join our team working on the production of special purpose machinery and other bespoke engineering projects. As an Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers in the manufacture, assembly, installation, and maintenance of high-quality machinery and equipment.
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above

Vacancy Detail
You’ll be assisting in the projects and learning along the way. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical engineering skills while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will learn how to interpret engineering drawings, use a variety of hand and power tools, assemble mechanical components, carry out fitting and adjustment work, and assist with the testing and commissioning of completed machinery. You will also gain experience in fault finding, problem-solving, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards.
As an apprentice at Mid Anglia Engineering Ltd your day-to-day responsibilities will include.
• Machining components on lathe, mill, grinders
• Fabricating components & machine elements using cutting, bending, welding equipment.
• Assembling machine sub-assemblies and assisting with the full assembly of equipment
• Assisting with the manufacture and assembly of special-purpose machinery.
• Manufacturing and fabricating components and machine elements using a range of workshop equipment, including cutting, bending, drilling, and welding
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment while following all company health and safety procedures.
