Brief Description
As part of the Centralised Services Team, this role sits within the Purchase Ledger department assisting with 7+ companies across the UK. Currently undergoing a change of finance systems, there will be opportunities to get involved with multiple systems.
Qualifications Required
English and Maths GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent

Training to be Provided
Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
Potential full time role following completion of apprenticeship. Progress within department or wider business. Often have internal opportunities for further training and development.
Vacancy Detail
You will be required to assist with the day-to-day tasks within the purchase ledger department which will involve:
• Registering incoming invoices and credits via email & post
• Seeking approvals in line with company policies
• Posting invoices to relevant finance systems
• Handling supplier queries via email and telephone
• Completing statement reconciliations
• Preparing payment runs and remittance advices
• Working with multiple finance systems
• Other ad-hoc duties as needed
Once established within the Purchase Ledger Department, there are opportunities to rotate to other areas of finance to contribute to learning and completion of qualification.
