Brief Description

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our team at The Deer Park, situated in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. You will be serving breakfasts, lunches, drinks and snacks in our lovely Linhay Café.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment.)

Personal Qualities

We are looking for a team player who is friendly, energetic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude, someone who takes pride in their work and wants to give the customer great service.

Skills Required

• Good customer service skills.
• A good attitude toward maintaining a clean working environment.
• A team player.

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

Future Prospects

For the right person there may well be the opportunity to take on a full time role on completion of the apprenticeship.

As a Café Team Member your role will include
- Welcoming and seating customers
- Taking and processing orders
- Preparing and serving drinks and food items
- Operating the till and handling cash and card payments
- Maintaining a clean, tidy café at all times
