Brief Description
An exciting opportunity has become available to become an Apprentice Bricklayer to learn the skills to build a successful career in construction. You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople, gain practical experience and earn while you learn.
Qualifications Required
Maths and English at grade 2 or a relevant grade 1 functional skills qualification. Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment.

Training to be Provided
Level 2 Bricklayer apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you could progress into a skilled bricklayer role, potentially specialising in areas such as restoration or new build construction.
Vacancy Detail
As an Apprentice Bricklayer, you'll be involved in a variety of construction projects, including new builds. Your day-to-day tasks may include:
• Preparing work sites and setting out
• Mixing mortar and laying bricks and blocks
• Using hand and power tools to shape and cut materials
• Adhering to building regulations and safety standards
• You'll gain valuable on-the-job training and work towards achieving a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard in bricklaying.
Other Information
Driving licence and own transport is ideal, but not required. Alternatively, you must be able to arrive to Ashby for an early morning pick-up. Applicants should have existing or be applying for CSCS card. This vacancy involves working outdoors and lifting heavy objects.
