Brief Description
We're seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented candidate who possesses strong IT skills and excellent communication abilities. As a Business Support Apprentice, you’ll support key functions and enhance efficiency across our organisation and thrive in the dynamic world of business administration.

Skills Required
• IT Skills: Proficiency in using common computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, to manage data, generate reports, and communicate effectively via email.

• Organisational Abilities: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities, and maintain accurate records efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to handle shipping documentation, record data accurately, and manage commercial documentation.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and think critically to find solutions in the context of day-to-day business operations.

• Numerical Skills: Basic numerical skills to manage sales orders, track service and calibration, and analyse data for reporting purposes.
Training to be Provided
Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard (can include Level 2 elements if required)
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position within the Production Team at ATC. You'll gain valuable skills for various roles in business, with a solid foundation for a diverse range of career paths within the business world. Other opportunities for growth and specialisation within ATC's expanding markets are also possible.
Vacancy Detail
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate shipments, creating delivery notes & commercial documentation.
• Handle reception duties, responding to calls from customers, suppliers, and sales staff.
• Process sales orders for spare parts, repairs, and service contracts.
• Manage in-house repairs, organising returns, providing quotes, and dispatching.
• Verify delivery notes and handle returns to suppliers, ensuring effective communication.
• Track service, inspection, and calibration, arranging visits and timely dispatch.
• Assist with ISO9001 quality and ISO14001 environmental management system reporting.
• Handle printing of manuals, MSDS sheets & labels and maintain updated records.
• Manage filing and logging of test sheets.
You will:
• Understand the importance of following SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and written processes to support the business.
• Develop an understanding of the complexities of being a global business.
• Generate records and documents.
• Learn about the relationships between different departments and the functions within.
Other Information
Own transport is desirable due to location. Distance between employer and college is approx. 60-mile round-trip. College learning is intended to be remote/on-site to mitigate this, however candidates will be required to travel to the college campus in Burton on Trent (DE14 3RL) for Century Assessments/Enrolment/Induction.
