Brief Description
Exciting opportunity for an apprentice hairdresser to join a brand-new salon in Ashby De La Zouch, working for two very experienced and busy stylists. We are looking for a hardworking, creative and motivated individual to help in the salon and to pass a wealth of hairdressing knowledge over to.
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment.)

Training to be Provided
Level 2 Hair Professionals apprenticeship standard Hairdressing or Barbering
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
We are committed to training applicants to the highest standard and there will be a possible full-time role at the end of this apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
On an average week you will be expected to:
• Attend Day Release at College
• Support stylists
• Reception duties
• Housekeeping
• Preparing needed tools for services
• Attending in-house training when needed
• Greeting clients and making refreshments
Other Information
Working days Wednesday-Friday include 1 hour lunch break, Saturday- 30-minute lunch break.
This is a physically-demanding role, you will be on your feet most of the day.
All applicants must have their own travel arrangements sorted to ensure attendance to working hours, and travel to Burton town centre for college attendance.
There will be incentives for pay increases.
