Brief Description

We are currently recruiting for an opportunity to join the team as an Engineering Apprentice. The role involves intense training to develop skills and competence in the electrical and/or maintenance of all aspects of the plan and machinery.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment.)

Training to be Provided

Level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.  The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

Future Prospects

A permanent position may be available at Wavin following the completion of your apprenticeship. You may also have a desire to further education by attaining the foundation degree/Higher National Diploma.

Vacancy Detail

Duties will include but not limited to:

• To operate in line with all Wavin H&S Standards and the implementation and adherence to safe working practices in accordance with legislation.
• To be trained to set up, operate and adjust a range of clay processing equipment, including dryers and kilns
• To assist the Production team in all aspects of clay processing
• To attend off-the-job training to achieve the apprenticeship standard in Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician
• Be positive towards own self development and undertake training to improve and increase skill levels.
