Brief Description

A very rare Vacancy Available! Early Explorers Childcare are recruiting for a new Team Member. Working in Nursery and Childcare Assistant. Work and interact directly with children on a day to day basis supporting the planning of and delivery of activities.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or equivalent.

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard
Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.  The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

Vacancy Detail

A rare opportunity has become available to join a small family run/orientated niche nursery (Childcare on Domestic Premises). Working in a small team of 5, we provide care for children from the ages of 12months to age 5 with a small school wrap around provision.
Our setting is quite unique and is set in the grounds of the owner’s home. The Nursery building is completely self-contained which means that we operate independently but within the grounds of a domestic premises.
We pride ourselves on running a family orientated business with strong principles to provide high quality care to our children. We fully embrace and adhere to all EYFS standards and regulations.
We have a proven track record of employing Apprentices and developing their skills and retaining those team members who show a passion and commitment for our setting.
The person we seek must be flexible to work Monday to Friday (see the hours below), and must be able to travel to Shobnall, Burton on Trent. We are an incredibly well utilised nursery setting and we rely on our team members to be committed to their role.

Duties will include:
Providing a safe and stimulating educational environment for children under five.
Planning and engaging children in learning-based activities that are suitable for their ages and interests.
Observing and recording children’s development and progress.
Liaising with parents and carers and working with other professionals for the benefit of the children.
Ensuring the health and safety of children and following all policies and regulations.

Other Information

Apprentice wage will be paid for the first year, moving to minimum wage thereafter.
Training such as First Aid etc. will be fully funded.
A pension scheme is available to join (once apprenticeship is complete).
