Brief Description
Working with a reputable company on a wide variety of onsite projects covering all aspects of building property maintenance and refurbishment, with a permanent position available on completion of apprenticeship.
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or equivalent (Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment).
Personal Qualities
The applicant should be highly motivated in their chosen trade and have excellent communication skills.
The applicant should have good numeracy skills and be able to work logically to a conclusion.
Skills Required
The applicant should be proactive, have a positive attitude and good communication skills.
Training to be Provided
Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
We would anticipate that the successful applicant would be offered employment within our company upon completion of the training.
Vacancy Detail
Duties may include but not limited to:
Working alongside our existing skilled and experienced tradespeople as well as working alone once skills develop as part of our dedicated team carrying out all aspects of building works and property maintenance.
The work will be varied and include all aspects of building and maintenance including first fix, stud walls, doors, windows, skirting’s, concrete and brickwork repairs, plumbing repairs and stripout works.
There is a permanent position available following the completion of the apprenticeship subject to completion level of the apprenticeship course.
Other Information
As the vacancy is site based, work will be both inside and outside and involve physical work.
