Brief Description

We require an eager Commis Chef to join our team. We are a small, cosy restaurant and would like an Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team.

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.? The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.

We are seeking a competent individual that is looking to expand their knowledge and build a successful and lasting career at our lovely food led pub in the village of Yoxall.

Duties will include:

Food preparation
Cooking
Preparing meals
Kitchen cleaning
Preparing dishes from scratch using fresh vegetables
Coming up with ideas for daily specials
Developing a great knowledge of our business and growing your knowledge of working in a busy kitchen and making sure that every plate sent out is of a perfect standard

Other Information

There could be an opportunity for a candidate to start the Advanced Level 3 Chef de Partie apprenticeship - if they have already obtained a level 2 equivalent.

Weekly wage:

Above minimum required hourly wage, negotiable depending upon experience.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
